Kendalynn Jackson joined the Illinois Department of Transportation in Springfield as a compliance officer in 2017 where she monitors and assists with state and Federal compliance regulations. She previously spent nearly three years as the public service administrator for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Development, the state’s chief business and economic development agency where she managed the Enterprise Zone, River Edge and TIF tax incentive programs. Additionally, Ms. Jackson is the owner of a property investment company, and provides guidance to minority based start up companies to support self empowerment and development.
Kendalynn Jackson obtained her Bachelors of Arts from Beloit College in Wisconsin, where she studied Economics and Management. She is a graduate of Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, and is a member of the California, and Illinois Bar Association. With more than 10 years as a sole practitioner, operating and starting her own law firm, she offered her clients a range of legal services, ranging from entertainment law to appellate law.
Ms. Jackson is a volunteer for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and is a member of the Phi Alpha Delta international law fraternity. Her personal interests include cultural development, music enrichment, and the arts.
